This alphabet was created with Nvidia's AI-powered landscape generator GauGAN. It works with the method of segmentation mapping, where every color represents a usual segment of a landscape like grass, trees, flowers, etc. The user draws the segmentation map with the colors to convert it into a landscape. There is also the option of uploading an already drawn map to the software.

 

I discovered that when uploading a simple black letter on a white background to the landscape generator, the AI turns it into a fascinating and incomprehensible mix of shapes and colors on a segmentation map. I also translated those maps into landscapes where the letter shapes could still be recognized even with distorted forms and random colors/textures.
